Class 1 Nickel is used as a Cathode in new generation batteries deployed in electric vehicles (EVs). With the growth of EVs, supply shortage is expected in the Class 1 Nickel market. Stainless steel producers may have to compete with battery makers for supplies of Class 1 Nickel.
