
Thai flood impact: supply shortage seen in natural rubber market at least until May 2017

Unseasonal rains led to widespread flooding in Southern Thailand, which has claimed the lives of over 20 people, hit rubber production in the region and shut down infrastructure. The flood hit Southern Thailand accounts for 70 percent of the country’s rubber production and supply constraint is expected to last at least until May 2017.
