What is Fourth Party Logistics (4pl)?

A fourth-party logistics provider (4PL) is a company that provides a comprehensive array of logistics services to its clients. It's an advanced level of management of the supply chain system. In this type of management, companies can entirely rely on a third party to manage every stage of the supply chain process

4PLs are often referred to as "integrators" because they integrate all of the functions and services required to get a product from the supplier to the customer.

4PL logistics provides a one-stop solution for their clients' logistics needs, which can be very helpful for companies that do not have their own in-house logistics department. 4PLs can provide a wide range of services, including transportation management, warehousing and distribution, order fulfillment, and supply chain management.

4PL logistics can be an excellent option for companies that want to outsource their logistics functions. They can provide a high level of service and expertise and often save their clients money.
