The EHR markets of developing nations like BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) are in a budding stage to establish a better healthcare system. These developing markets are fruitful targets for EHR vendors in coming 5 years. Introduction Electronic health records (EHR) are systematic collection of health information about an individual patient or population in digital format. EHRs may include a range of data, including demographics, medical history, medication and allergies, immunization status, laboratory test results, radiology images, vital signs, personal statistics like age and weight, and billing information. EHR is shared across different health care sector by network-connected, enterprise-wide information systems and other information networks or exchanges. EHR maintains Patient's health records accurately and promptly, thereby assists healthcare practitioners in decision making, leading to improved quality of healthcare. EHR will assist in proper maintenance of various statistics promptly and accurately E.g.
