Prevailing Cargo Theft in US Metal Industry

A commonly occurring problem to all the business around the globe was the Cargo theft. It is an ongoing threat, with numerous criminals and organized gangs targeting cargo throughout the world. Supply chains, being complex, are vulnerable to such incidents. Goods of high demand, value and goods which are easily re-saleable represent the largest share of stolen property, but the trend is changing slowly with the theft rates going up every year across all sectors. Although cargo thefts have been on a rise, it was evident that the dedicated security forces focused exclusively on logistics have managed to keep a check on troubled spots to a great extent. Working together, carriers and shippers can be successful in dramatically reducing the incidence of cargo theft.
