Reporting To: Team Lead โ€“ Technology

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct primary and secondary research on IT & Telecom categories, sub-domains, vendor landscapes, and technology trends.
  • Analyze supply, demand, cost structures, and pricing dynamics across IT products and services globally.
  • Build and maintain market models, forecasts, and cost benchmarks (e.g., IT billing rates, pricing models, TCO).
  • Identify, evaluate, and benchmark leading and emerging IT suppliers across regions and service lines.
  • Assess vendor capabilities, sourcing models, innovation, and competitiveness using strategic frameworks (e.g., SWOT, Porterโ€™s Five Forces).
  • Track and synthesize macroeconomic, regulatory, ESG, and geopolitical developments impacting IT procurement.
  • Map value chains, supply chain risks, and adoption trends across IT domains (e.g., cloud, data centers, networking, software, telecom).
  • Liaise with industry experts and validate findings through interviews, surveys, and market engagements.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to support IT Category Managers in sourcing and negotiation strategies.
  • Provide procurement stakeholders with best practices, sourcing levers, and negotiation benchmarks.
  • Support development of price forecasts and cost models with quantitative and qualitative inputs.
  • Prepare executive-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations highlighting procurement and market implications.
  • Maintain structured databases and knowledge repositories of suppliers, pricing, and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define new research requirements and enhance category playbooks.
  • Continuously monitor emerging technologies, supplier strategies, and disruptive market shifts to keep insights current.
