Who we are

A study conducted by our founding team in 2006 found that procurement teams struggle with a lack of good market intelligence and supplier risk analysis. At that time, most sources were generic, outdated, and often inaccurate. That’s why we founded Beroe: to meet a market need for custom analysis and market research. 

Today, we are a sector leader in procurement intelligence, and our business is global. We work with highly regarded blue-chip businesses, including 80 percent of the Fortune 500.

Beroe engages with its customers through beroe Live.ai, a comprehensive procurement productivity suite. It features 12 modules addressing specific needs, such as cost intelligence, price intelligence, market intelligence, and supplier risk. Milestones and company history

2006 – CEO and Founder, Vel Dhinagaravel starts Beroe at North Carolina State University along with Robert Handfield to meet the massive knowledge gap in understanding the procurement community's supply market dynamics.

2007 – Beroe sets up its offshore operations with a team of 3 research analysts in India.

2010 – With over 50 customers globally, Beroe sets up offices in other international locations, starting with Shenzhen, China, followed by Rosario, Argentina.

2011 – Beroe transitions from a generalist approach on research to a category specialist approach. Growing strength to strength, Beroe opens its second location in Chennai, India (our sixth globally)

2013 – Develops Beroe's offering in line with its growth. Launches Beroe Infinity and Beroe Insync (the precursor to Beroe LiVE)

2014 – Relaunches its brand with a new identity - Advantage Procurement.

2017 - Introduces a four-day workweek to improve the work-life balance of its employees.

2018 – FreeTheIntel. Launches Beroe Live.ai - an on-demand procurement intelligence platform with access to research spanning 200+ categories for free. 

2019 - Created the largest community for procurement professionals on Beroe Live.ai, with over 100,000 members from 20,000 companies.

2020  -  Launch of Abi, an AI-enabled assistant enabling conversational interactions.

2024 – Brand relaunch and platform expansion to reflect the company’s transition from a custom research shop to a digital-first enterprise.
