It enables browser-to-browser communication of audio, video calls and file sharing. WebRTC is not a product or software which has to be brought or for which a license has to be acquired. It is also not an application that has to be built with an IT team in place or to be outsourced to an IT vendor. WebRTC is a standard, which is supported by various browsers for real time communication of multimedia content such as video and voice. This influences the communication to happen over internet infrastructure, without any plug-ins or third party application to be installed.
