Tyre labelling initiative is an upcoming initiative first brought about by Japan and South Korea and implemented in Europe from November 2012 which makes it mandatory for any tyre manufacturing company to exhibit tyre labels at its point of sale. The label is rated on the basis of three parameters; (1) rolling resistance, (2) wet grip and (3) external rolling noise. The new labelling system ranks the tyre based on these three parameters from rank A to G with the latter one being the most inefficient.
