1. Introduction: Whitepaper focuses on how Affordable Care Act (ACA) is bringing in parameters like quality and efficiency into healthcare system 2. Main:This paper looks into two aspects: 1.) How providers will be measured and paid for health care services offered. 2.) ACA increases the number of Americans insured. It could also pave way for increase in number of underinsured patients which will have an impact on health care industry 3. Recommendation: Drug manufacturers will have to evolve and adopt a system that will reduce the processing time for PAP programs. With quality and efficiency being aspects on which providers are being measured, providers would go for the best drug that could be most easily accessed by a patient in minimum time. This will mean that drug manufacturers will have to rely on technology to make their patient access program more robust. And this could lead to an increased dependency on health care service supporters like McKesson and Amerisource Bergen to execute PAP programs flawlessly.
