Microsoft has launched its tablet surface which runs on windows 8 like the anticipated Nokia windows tablet, recently. Interestingly, Microsoft is for the first time launching a product competing with its partners. This launch from Microsoft which is claimed to be a competitor of iPad may pose to be a strengthening or deterring factor in the success of Nokia windows tablet. The success of this product may help to?? improve the windows ecosystem which could prove beneficial to Nokia as well which is moving away from Symbian to windows for its phones and tablets but this product may also compete with the Nokiaï¾Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Æ’??s windows yet to be launched tablet directly. Though Surface competes with the tablet market, Surface tries to combine the features of tablet and laptop (which Apple has traditionally stayed away from) both in the hardware and software. While the device is primarily a tablet, it may also be used as a notebook when a keyboard accessory is attached. The surface has a processor equivalent to that of the laptop Macbook Air while the home screen may be similar to that of Windows smartphones. Moreover, the Windows 8 platform is capable of being used with both touch and mouse and keyboard computing.
