The OTR tyre industry in India is showing tremendous growth potential in the coming years. The industry has woken up from a long slumber of the past and manufacturers are expecting a good demand in the future. The Indian OTR tyre industry, in the past faced stiff competition from low-cost OTR tyres coming across the border from China. The re-treaded tyres from China were a favourite among the local miners, mainly because of the very cheap prices at which the Chinese tyres were available in the Indian market.
