The Future of Global Construction Industry ? Built By BRIC
The global construction market is expected to regain growth and the rate of increase is likely to outpace that of global GDP over the next 10 years. The BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) nations are set to outpace the growth in the construction activities in the advanced economies in the coming years, with the long term outlook for the construction industry in these four economies being healthy. Brazil and Russia will benefit from large scale infrastructure projects as they gear up to host major sporting events in the coming years. Meanwhile China and India are expected to benefit from investment associated with on-going urbanization. However the tight monetary policy, unpromising labor demographics along with bureaucratic environment could hinder the otherwise bright construction industry in the region.
