Risks arising from environmental and social factors, compliance, value creation and external demand are driving sustainable procurement. Upcoming green cap regulations can put pressure on sourcing of all commodities and services including clinical trials. This makes it pertinent for R&D procurement groups to evaluate carbon intensity along clinical trial supply chain and adopt mitigation strategies
