Oleo based substitution options - Has detergents industry realized their true potential? Anionic Surfactants have traditionally been the largest category of Surfactants for the Home and Personal Care (HPC) industry and Sulfonates play a key role in this category. Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) is the single largest class within anionic surfactants and has been the workhorse of the detergents industry for the past fifty years. The past two decades have seen ever-increasing levels of awareness about the depletion of petrochemical feedstock and reduction in carbon footprint across the globe. Watch Pushan Pal, Beroe's Chemicals expert and Dr. Guido Bognolo, an independent consultant and industry expert, addressing the impact of the above two factors on LAS supply and price dynamics and the substitution potential of oleochemical molecules viz. Alcohol Sulfate/Alcohol Ether Sulfate (AS/AES), Fatty Alcohol Ethoxylate (FAE) and Methyl Ester Sulfonate (MES) from a procurement point of view in this webinar. About the speakers: Pushan Pal: Pushan is a 'Home Care Chemicals' expert at Beroe. He specializes in providing surfactant related procurement intelligence to Fortune500 companies.
